It was a bright, romantic morning.
A twenty year old boy, a fresh bridegroom of one night, awakened instantly from his deep
sleep . " A Sound ", he thought. He'd heard a sound. A voice, which was
soft and musical. A touchy voice.
Can you imagine a voice filled with fragrance? Yes, it was just like that. It was a fresh,
feminine, even holier voice which was pouring a sweet essence in his soul through his
ears. Curious, he turned his head to locate the source and then recognized the figure.
Yes, she was there. His bride, reciting Holy
Quran, on the very first morning after
their marriage. For the first time, he thought of himself as the luckiest man on earth. He
was right, as with the help of this wonderful woman, he was going to cultivate a fabulous
garden, laden with beautiful flowers and sweet fruits. This couple was of our maternal
grandparents, Abba Jaan and Ammi Jaan. We, their young
generations, pay our salute to them for giving us the precious gifts of eastern
traditions, urdu-heritage, love for Pakistan and " originality ".

Centuries ago, our
fore-fathers, offsprings of Hazrat Imam
Zain-Ul-Abideen (a.s.), migrated from
ARAB to INDIA due to bad prejudicial conditions for certain muslim communities in Arab at
that time. Some of them began to live in a town called Jalaali, Ali Garh ( U.P ) India, a hall mark for Muslims of this Indo-pak sub-continent, a land of
freedom fighters, Pakistan lovers. Thats where our fathers family comes from.
They are called as Saadaat-E-Jalaali.
While at the same time, there were some other Abidi Saadaat families which started their
new lives in some other regions of India, like Aurangabad, and Lucknow. What to say about Lucknow, it doesnt need any introduction. It has
been called as the most well-mannered, traditional city of India, a fertile land of poets.
A land where the most sweetest language, URDU began to rise. Our mothers family
belongs to these regions. They are known as Saadaat-E-Nau'gawaan.
Syed Ahmed Hussain Abidi

( 1920 - 1948 )
( A Portrait by Yawar Imam Abidi )
A man of honour, intelligent, intellectual and wise. A wonderful speaker, a popular debator. Arguements were his passion, debate was his fashion and education was his profession. Our grandfather, was an important member of Aligarh Muslims Students Federation. He took part in the revolutionary movement for Pakistan foundation. He migrated to Pakistan immediately after its foundation. Pakistan, which was the centre of his dreams. Government of Pakistan gave him a distinctive post in Federal Education Department, but fate was wanting something else. He worked hard and hard, never caring about himself which ultimately affected his health and he sacrificed his life for Pakistan in 1948 at the age of 28.
Professor Maulana
Syed Inayat Hussain Abidi ( late )
( Maulana Jalaalwi )

Religion flows in our arteries like blood. Our fathers uncle, brother of our grandfather, Professor Maualana Inayat Hussain did his best to promote religious aspects in India, Pakistan. He also visited continents of Africa and America for Islamic preaching. There're very few persons in the world who denote their whole lives for such a noble cause. Preventing himself from various social evils, he won every heart. He was one of those men who always help others and need nothing in return. He founded many Islamic foundations in Pakistan. He was also a Professor of Islamic Studies at Karachi University. When he passed away in 1994, all famous religious leaders of Pakistan paid heartiest tributes to him for his great Islamic servives. ( Reference from Dur-e-Yagaana, a book written on him ).
Syed Sagheer Hussain Abidi
Our mothers grand father, Syed Sagheer Hussain, a great Muslim leader of India, a freedom and religious fighter. As a result British Government accused him of revolt and sent him to prison, where he martyred. He was so popular among all muslims of his locality that, on his funeral, all sunni and shia muslims offered prayers for him, and gave sand to his grave for whole 3 days.
Syed Ameen-Ul-Hasan Abidi ( ABBA JAAN )

( 1941 )
He is sober, talkative, straight-forward, and a deep-thinker. A successful banker, an honest man, who never compromised on his priciples. Despite of many financial problems in the beginning, he raised a model eastern family in Pakistan. Our maternal grand father ( Nana ), holds the treasure of vast knowledge about every subject in his mind and in his large personal library. We inherited our passion for books mainly from him.
DADI AMMA'N
Our paternal grandmother ( Daadi ). A great, outspoken lady and yet so traditional. Not very expressive but an impressive lady. She, too, sacrificed many of her things when she migrated to Pakistan at the time of partition. She faced many difficuly in brought-up of her children. her childrens. It was the year of 2000, when she left us forever at the age of 75 years, and Pakistan and its young generation lost another part of their precious heritage. She was very kind to all of us and was an example of pure eastern, religious traditional woman. We miss you daadi-amman, with all those sweet memories of childhood .
AMMI JAAN
A brave, courageous
woman, our maternal grand mother ( Naani ). A symbol of sacrifice. She was the eldest
daughter of the richest family of Naanpaara, Lucknow, but she sacrificed all of her
property and wealth when she migrated to Pakistan just to raise a good family in an ideal
muslim country, Pakistan. Allah really rewarded her for those sacrifices. She was a
poetess and writer. We always saw her reciting Quraan Majeed and offering prayers since
our childhood. She was the nucleus of our whole family, very fond of her grand children
and they were very fond of her too. She loved every child individually and gave so much
" DUAs " for every one. This great lady left us forever on independance day,
14th August 1989. Though people say she is still alive, in the form of Bajjo.
HOME ..
.SWEET HOME
( We are three brothers, only one youngest sister,
and one sister-in-law, so together with parents we are seven, alhumdolillah ! Here is a
brief account of all of us)

2Oth of January 1973, related with the occasion of Eid-E-Ghadeer, a marriage took place in Karachi. The same night, a couple, a new husband and wife saw each other for very the first time. At this occassion, a silent, worldless bond took place between the couple. The husband promised that he would try his best to give all the facilities to his family and children. The wife promised that she'd sacrify all of her wishes if those would come between her and her children. This couple was of our parents, our father, whom we call as Babil and our mother. We call her as Bajjo .
Syed Hamid Hussain Abidi (BABIL)

A Father with his INAM ( 1975)
Our father, very simple man, totally non-diplomatic and yet so different. A beholder of the precious honour of doing all the Ziyaraats of Iran, Iraq and Syria, he loves his religion. We dont remember a moment when our mother has asked anything for us and he's denied. He provided us all those facilities which a muslim father should provide to his children. He always preferred " us " over himself. We are paying a tribute to him by saying, "
Babil , We have to say that, though your own father died when you were just a baby and you never saw how fathers behave and love their kids, and yet we have learnt, the duties of an ideal father to his children, from you".

A Father with his INAM ( 2000 )
BAJJO
" Aap Qabil-e-Fakhar Maan hain "
" You're rightly
a pride-worthy mother and an example to follow "
( Comments of Speaker of National Assembly of Pakistan, Illahi Bakhsh Soomro about our
Mother, 13-2-99 )
Our mother, a perfect house wife. She
is religious, she is eastern, she is traditional, she is modest, she is sober, she is
awesome. She is our teacher, she is a poetess, she is writer, she is designer and she is
our friend, sometimes we think of her as our elder siste. ( thats what Bajjo means )
!
Her aim was to be a doctor, but she couldnt achieve it due to lack of oppurtunities
and circumstances. But Allah rewarded her in many other ways, closing one door but opening
many others at the same time. Now one of her son is a doctor, alhumdolillah. There are
very few mothers like her who give so much sacrifices for their childrens, who drop the
ideas of becoming a career woman just for the sake of next generations. Mothers,
who won't leave their small children alone when they need her more than anyone else.
We pay our salute and
tribute to her for her sacrifices, and services. We never saw her demanding any money,
jewellery or shopping stuff from babil. Her greatest quality which should be present in
every woman, is that, she hates lies. !
Woman is nothing, if she is not self-sacrifice and purity personalified

more lucky for you than the other ones. "

GREATEST DAY IN
THE HISTORY OF OUR WHOLE FAMILY
13th Feb,1999, was one of the greatest days in the history of our whole family, when our mother received gold medal from General Moin-ud-Din Haider, Governer of our province, on behalf of her eldest son ( as he is not in Pakistan ) who got 1st class 1st in his finals. Then after some time, Bajjo's name was called again, but this time to receive his merit certificate and for of excellance for achieving first class first through out 4 years. This time it was speaker of National assembly of Pakistan, illahi Bakhsh Soomro, who gave this to bajjo. It sure was a memorable experience, a precious blessing of Allah to ABIDIS, when our mother received the honour while thousands of people clapping for her, praising her and appreciating her son.
